Underpebble is a micro-adventure app designed to help families get outside together. We take your privacy seriously and have built the app to collect as little data as possible.

Information We Collect

We do not create user accounts or collect personally identifiable information.

• Location: If you grant permission, your device's location is used solely to fetch local weather conditions from Open-Meteo, a third-party weather service. Your coordinates are sent directly to Open-Meteo and are not stored by Underpebble.
• Adventure generation: When generating a nudge, your app sends weather conditions, time of day, and your chosen duration to our server. No name, email, device identifier, or location is included in these requests.
• On-device storage: Your adventure history, streak data, and app settings are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device except as described above.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect names, email addresses, or any contact information.
• We do not track your location beyond the single weather lookup described above.
• We do not use advertising networks or sell data to third parties.
• We do not use analytics tools that identify individual users.

Children's Privacy

Underpebble is designed for families, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because the app does not collect personal information from any user, no special handling is required.

Third-Party Services

The app uses Open-Meteo to retrieve weather data. Please review their privacy policy for details on how they handle location requests.

Adventure text is generated by a server powered by Cloudflare. Only non-personal context (weather, time of day, duration) is sent.

Data Retention

All app data (adventures, streaks, settings) is stored on your device and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
